All members of EUGeneHeart contracted labs can apply for a travel grant in the context of a training project proposed by the applicant and the host lab. This new application rule will be in force starting from 1 January 2009.

The EUGeneHeart Travel Grant

The Grant is intended to complement current training courses by means of supporting flexible training upon requests. The Grant can be also used for researchers to use instruments or technology not available in their own laboratory, and to establish new collaborations within and outside the Consortium.

Who should apply
Only members of the EUGeneHeart Contracted labs are eligible for this grant.

What is covered
The grant will cover the following expenses, up to maximum of three months:
Travel expenses: A fixed amount of 300 EUR
Living expenses: 50 EUR/day to be added on top of regular salary; the allowance is provided for the days spent at the host institution and for 2 travel days.

How to apply
Applicants can submit a CV, a supporting letter (or a separated e-mail) from the Principal Investigator of the sending lab and a short research/training proposal (no longer than 1.5-2 pages) including a summary, an introduction and a research/training timetable to yi-jen.chuang@uclouvain.be.

When the evaluation score is above the threshold, the evaluation outcome and the corresponding budget will be sent to the Coordination office for an offical approval. The selection outcome will be notified to the applicant and the Principal Investigator of the sending lab by e-mail.
