The department of Cardiology and Pneumology at University Hospital Goettingen is offering training sessions on the technique on minimally invasive transversal aortic banding (MTAB).

We foresee groups of 2 to 3 individuals being intensively trained directly at the bench for 2 days. Our cardiothoracic surgeon will be available for these courses during the last two weeks of March 2006.

Who should attend
The training is most suitable for individuals already experienced in surgery, like researchers and senior technical assistants. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and design their own techniques and experiments. Applications by women are deeply welcomed, since EUGeneHeart would like to encourage equal involvement of women in this particular field of science.

We would like to receive your applications including the names of the suggested participant by 01.03.06 the latest, as we need to include the names of these persons into the ethical approval application.

The recommended timeframe would be a three nights stay in Göttingen. For making arrangements on the exact timeframe, please send us your preferences. We will get back to you as son as possible.
